2015 Community Grants program Does your not for profit work to benefit Australian children? Then you will be happy to know that the Commonwealth Bank may be able to offer you some financial support.

Applications are soon open for the 2015 round of Commonwealth Bank Community Grants.

“To be eligible to receive a Community Grant your organisation must run, manage, conduct or implement a program that supports children and youth up to the age of 21 years old in Australia.

You must also be endorsed with Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status by the Australian Tax Office or Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission.”

There are specific eligibility criteria which your organisation must meet, and a specific process you need to follow to submit an eligible application but those are details for you here and are all quite straight forward.

They have also supplied the judging matrix which spells out the criteria and how the judges will measure your application against them.  Before you submit your application, assess it yourself against the criteria and make improvements if needed.

Applications open: Monday, 2 February 2015, 9.00am AEDT

Applications close: Friday, 27 February 2015, 5.00pm AEDT

Grants are available up to the amount of $10,000 and must be used within 12 months of receiving the grant.

And as you apply, please take note of where the money comes from.  It is a fund built with donations from current and retired Commonwealth Bank staff. The bank then matches the amount raised, dollar for dollar.

Good luck. Start working on your application right now.
