grantsAs a major insurance group, NRMA has an interest in helping you to make your world a safer place. That’s why they created the Community Grants Program.

“The Community Grants program helps us to achieve our purpose as it supports grassroots organisations with big ideas to make our communities safer, stronger and more confident. Since launching the program in 2003, we have invested over $6.7 million into more than 1,550 projects around Australia.”

Applications for the NRMA Community Grants program are now open. Grants of up to $5,000 are available to support initiatives that make local communities safer, stronger and more confident.

The Awards are open to initiatives in the areas of

  • Crime Prevention
  • Road Safety
  • Emergency Readiness and Response
  • Environment. 

Groups that are eligible to apply for the grants include:

  • Not-for-profit organisations
  • Registered charities
  • Schools
  • Councils working in conjunction with not-for-profit or community organisations
  • Community groups and services 

There is an information booklet available which leads you though the application process. It helps you decide whether or not you are entitled to apply for a grant, and to make the best application possible.

Applications close on Tuesday, 31 March 2015.
