legal serviceLawyers Weekly recently ran a story about a Melbourne law firm who had created a model of service which would assist NFPs with their legal requirements. The law firm, Moore’s, is an Our Community preferred supplier of legal services to the not-for-profit sector.

The Institute of Company Directors site says “In partnership with Our Community, Moores is offering Institute of Community Directors Australia members the opportunity to obtain expert legal advice via the Not-for-Profit Assist legal membership service.

Membership of Not-for-Profit Assist gives you direct access to the expertise of lawyers who have extensive knowledge of the not-for-profit sector and are committed to providing relevant, targeted and practical advice and service.”

The law firm uses a membership model in three, six or 12-month packages, plus a hotline service option.

The beauty of a service like this is that your NFP can have affordable legal assistance when it needs it and there will be no unexpected legal fees to pay.

While this service is only available in Melbourne at the moment, we hope it spreads across the country. Why not introduce your local or preferred legal firm to the concept?
