annual reportAnnual report writing can be a frustrating and time consuming task, that can leave you feeling like your time and energy are being taken away from doing other things you are more excited about, or feel are more important.

Aside from that, annual reports are generally not the most riveting of topics to be writing about, especially if you’re not a writer, or an accountant, at heart. Being an annual affair, it’s not like you get the opportunity to perfect the skill, or get into any sort of habit or system with writing them.

There are a number of activities you can do throughout the year to ensure you have all the information you need when it comes to writing the report. Although this is can be very helpful when you need it to make your life easy, it doesn’t necessarily make for an enticing piece for your stakeholders.

Essentially, there are a number of elements required for this report:

  • You want stakeholders to pick it up and actually read it;
  • You need to include certain facts and figures; and
  • There are legal and other requirements to consider.

Pulling all three together can be tricky at the best of times, but when you’re not really inspired to tackle it with enthusiasm, given the factors above, you may suddenly decide you need to vacuum under the filing cabinet.

Fortunately, ProBono Australia understand this and are hosting an event at the Wheeler’s Centre in Melbourne, that will give you the information you need to write compelling, compliant annual reports this year

Run by communications specialist, Spiri Tsintziras, the course is designed for those who want to improve both their report writing, and the final look, feel, and tone of their annual report.

Information can be found on the ProBono Australia website, or alternatively, you can register for the workshop here.
